To empower Lions Clubs, volunteers, and partners to improve health and wellbeing, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian service and grants.

The name “Lions” stands for fraternity, fellowship, strength of character, and purpose. It also represents the values of Liberty, Intelligence, and Our Nation’s Safety. In 1968, Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) was established as the charitable arm of Lions International to support large-scale humanitarian projects globally.

For over a century, Lions have been making a difference — and the story continues. Joining a Lions Club offers the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, build lifelong friendships, and experience the joy of making a meaningful impact on others’ lives.

The vision of Lions Clubs International is to be the global leader in community and humanitarian service, according to the Globalization and Localization Association | GALA. Our mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding.
